|Player Team Placement
Each year the coaches rate the players based on the their
abilities compared to the kids in their age group. Those ratings
are then place in the player database for the next season.
At the beginning of the next season the computer divides the
teams up based on the following three conditions; player rating,
years played, and age.
The only guarantee a player has for a specific coach or practice
time is if the players parent is coaching. If they are a new player
to AYSO/NYSA and the request to be on the "buddy system".
We are not able to accommodate carpooling requests.
The buddy system is designed for those new players that want
to play soccer for the first time but are unsure. This allows to the
player to experience soccer with a friend to see if they enjoy the
great sport of Soccer.
The practice dates and times are picked by the coaches. As
volunteers, they are given the opportunity to select days and
times based on their availability due to work or other
circumstances. We greatly appreciate the coaches volunteering
their time for our kids.
Practice Schedule Conflicts
As much as we would like too it is impossible for us to move
players from one team to another based on practice/game
schedule conflicts. Once we do it for one player we would then
have to honor it for every player that request it. This would then
throw off the balancing process we go through during the team
building process. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may
